This announcement has no substance. Biden speaks about efficiencies and providing quality care, with few details and numerous vague references to healthcare reform.
"Folks, it's coming [...] healthcare reform that is deficit neutral."
Fantastic. But how about healthcare reform that works? How about healthcare reform that places health first foremost, and not Big Pharma profits?
Because that would be deficit positive.
Will Allen runs Growing Power, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI, a nonprofit empowering people by teaching them to grow their own safe, healthy, sustainable foods.
He recently garnered attention from FastCompany, making their 2009 list of the 100 most creative people for the work he's done to transform the relationship between lower-income people and local food.
Now Mr. Allen has been featured by the New York Times:
“From the housing project, it’s more than three miles to the Pick’n Save. That’s a long way to go for groceries if you don’t have a car or can’t carry stuff. North Korea fired six ballistic missiles on Saturday, South Korea's defence ministry said, in an act of defiance towards the United States that further stoked regional tensions already high due to its nuclear test in May.

Jerome Starkey, GRN Correspondent for France24, reports:
Cheney | Linked to Conceiling Terror Program
Is anyone really surprised? The precedent already exists for Cheney's advocacy of torture, as well as the Bush administration's proclivity to concealing information on torture and counterterrorism techniques, one can only surmise what the actions of this concealed program may have been. If concealed, that suggests either torture techniques or a specialized covert military operation. Concealing either of these in the way described by the NYTimes would have been an abuse of Cheney's powers.
