The sorry plight of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford.

People fall in love with other people. It happens. Okay.

People need to take a break and get away. It's true. Okay.

But STATE GOVERNORS need to communicate those things. Directly to the people that matter. A lot sooner than Gov. Sanford did.

(And not skip out of town when they have 4 little boys wondering where he is on Father's Day.)

German inmate escapes: by mail

I don't advocate prison escapes, but come on, you have to admit, this is both hilarious and ingenious.

As the BBC reports:

A manhunt is under way in western Germany for a convicted drug dealer who escaped by mailing himself out of jail.

The 42-year-old Turkish citizen - who was serving a seven-year sentence - had been making stationery with other prisoners destined for the shops.

At the end of his shift, the inmate climbed into a cardboard box and was taken out of prison by express courier. His whereabouts are still unknown.

This would be so hilarious! If it wasn't actually scary as hell.

So, the McCain campaign used Palin as a Hail Mary play (no Biblical pun intended) without proper vetting, she spent gads of money on clothes for herself and family, DIDN'T KNOW AFRICA WAS A CONTINENT (when her Presidential opponent was one generation removed from Africa), but she was defended (praised) by McCain--and is now talking 2012???

Seriously? The Republicans were cynical enough to make and sponsor this choice? And think she should continue as a national political figure?

Sounds like there's more and more Palin skits coming our way. Shame their Reality TV.
